This dog charity sporting event is organized by TasteTV, which also published the first book on how to teach your dog to surf (“The Dog’s Guide to Surfing: Hanging Ten with Man’s Best Friend”), as well as conceived and promoted the idea for the very first dog surfing event, which took place in San Diego in the mid-2000’s. Dog Surfing events have since then spread throughout Southern California to Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Australia, and even Great Britain.
