135 Mile Route The 135 Mile ride is the crown jewel of the SCMC. With 135.0 miles and 13,215′ of climbing, this route comes close to the Death Ride in elevation. More climbing bang for your buck at 98 Feet Per Mile (FPM)! Riders should start by 7:00 am and clear the Lunch Stop by 1:00 pm, or return via the 100M route, as there will not be sufficient time to complete the 135M route. 101 Mile Route Not quite tuned up for the 135M? The 101.6 mile route is the ticket. At 10,130′ of climbing, it offers excellent bragging rights at 100 FPM. Riders should start by 7:30 am and clear the Lunch Stop by 1:30 pm or take the 75M route back as there may not be sufficient time to complete the 101M route. 75 Mile Route This route offers many of the scenic roads from the 135M and 101M rides. This 75.7 mile route is no slouch of a ride, with 6,794′ of climbing or 90 FPM. Riders must start by 8:00 am. This route is suitable for experienced cyclists. Course Map available in March READ MORE →
45 Mile Route This route offers some of the best ocean views Santa Cruz has to offer. At 45.3 miles with 2,959′ of climbing, it works out to a leisurely 46 FPM. This is the Santa Cruz Cycling Club’s 20th annual fundraising bike ride. Funds go to support local grants and education programs. SCCCC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
On-line registration is open until event reaches 650 rider limit or until 10:00 pm PDT on July 19, 2018.
-Pre-registered riders and in-person registration may check in Friday July 20th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Epicenter Cycling 1730 Mission Street, Santa Cruz.

-In-person “same day” registration will be open July 21st Saturday morning on UCSC campus with parking available at Core West Parking beginning 6:00 am.
Rest Stops and End of Ride Meal
All rest stops will have snacks and water and electrolyte replacement drinks to carry you through the day. Lunch is also provided. After ride meal at the end consists of burritos, salad and ice cream.
Photocrazy will be out on the routes taking photos of every rider. Take note of time when passing photographer for easy search after the event.

-The event will be held rain or shine.
-Minors must be registered on the application of paying adult (age 18+) who is their parent or legal guardian. The minor must also carry a signed medical release and ride in the company of parent or guardian.
-The course and post-ride meal is open till 6:00 pm. No food after closing.
– Event day check-in is available 6:00 – 8:00 am for the 135M, 101M, 75M riders on the morning of the event. 45M riders are requested to check-in between 9:00 & 10:00 am.
– For riders wishing to check-in Friday evening from 5 – 7 pm, we will have a table set up at Epicenter Cycling (1730 Mission St, Santa Cruz) as well as Sports Basement (1875 S Bascom Ave Ste 240, Campbell)
-Dress in layers as it can be cool in the morning.
