Mountain Film on Tour coming to Santa Cruz

Mountainfilm on Tour brings a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado. The tour will visit Santa Cruz at the Rio Theatre on November 9 with films that explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.

The show kicks off at 7 pm. A Mountainfilm presenter will guide the audience through the program providing insight on the films, filmmakers and subjects.

SELECT SCHOOL SCREENINGS

Mountainfilm in Education will also be screening at select area schools in conjunction with the Santa Cruz screening.  The program’s pre-curated playlists are customized by grade level with informative and inspiring content. Classroom materials developed by teachers to align with Common Core Anchor Standards are available for select films.
