Latest issue is on the streets. Featured on the cover is champion distance runner @ku_stevens on the Genoa Falls Loop Trail during the Siren Run.

Ku will be hosting the Remembrance Run on August 13th and 14th to honor the footsteps of his grandfather who escaped from a residential school that took Native children from their parents for nearly a century. We will be there to run over 50 miles in two days, from Yerington, Nevada to Carson City.

Also in this issue, we profile Paula Smith, a probation officer with a big heart who helps teens from the Washoe tribe discover the great outdoors.

We also travel to @yosemitenps where the @yageryca is working hard to preserve the history of rock climbing in Yosemite Valley with the @yosemite_climbing_museum. Their second mission is to spread the joy of picking up trash in our National Parks through their @yosemitefacelift events.

Richard and Theresa Crocker, the donor advisors of the Crocker Philanthropic fund, have donated $1 million to the #Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation (TTCF), which serves the region by identifying and strategically addressing complex, inter-related issues that affect the community.

Thanks to its impact investment agenda, trust-based philanthropy, and nimble capital, TTCF swiftly deployed the gift to fund critical initiatives where it was most needed, including forest health, workforce development, housing, scholarships, families and community programing.

Together we can #KeepTahoeBlue!

For professional cyclist Peter Stetina, the dream of creating what he considers his “best day of gravel bikes” and what it should look like came together on May 21 in Carson City, NV at the inaugural Stetina’s Paydirt gravel cycling event, providing a portion of proceeds to the @high5sfoundation. Although Stetina and @bikemonkey.ca founder/owner, Carlos Perez, organized a small VIP ride in Fall 2019 as a proof of concept for the event, Paydirt didn’t happen in 2020 or 2021 🚵‍♂️
