Join Return of the Natives in cleaning up Upper Carr Lake in Salinas, a vital part of the Gabilan Watershed and a favorite community biking and walking spot. Ongoing restoration efforts at Upper Carr Lake have made this a thriving, frequently enjoyed public space.
Volunteers are invited to help keep this habitat free from unnecessary pollution and promote biodiversity by picking up trash, pruning shrubs and trees, and pulling invasive weeds.
JOIN US in our mission to bring people closer to nature and nature closer to people. RON events are a great way to learn more about where you live, meet new people, get community service hours, spend time outdoors, and help protect our clean water supply and natural habitats. This is a great family activity that is FREE.
Tools, water and great snacks provided for this special event!
Directions: Upper Carr Lake is located on East Laurel Drive between Constitution and Sanborn Rd. in Salinas. Look for the RON community event signs!
