Color Me Ely • July 16, 2022

Make your body a canvas and join us in Ely, Nevada for Color Me Ely 5k! You will run through multiple color stations and be sprayed or splashed with colored powder! There will be a large color explosion at the end that you will not want to miss!

Event Details:

  • All participants will receive a white cotton unisex shirt provided specifically to be your blank body canvas!  You must register by July X to guarantee a shirt.  Extra shirts will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
  • There will be five color stations along the course where volunteers will either toss colored powder or spray colored water on participants.
  • When crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a packet of colored powder for the final color explosion!
  • The color explosion will occur after most participants cross the finish line.  It will not happen any later than one hour after the start (9 am).
  • It is highly recommended if you have any lung health issues, that you do not participate in the event, use a face covering, or inform the volunteers you do not want to be covered in powder.  We will inform volunteers not to throw powder in faces, however sometimes this may still occur or may occur due to wind.
  • The color should not stain clothes if washed directly after event.
  • We highly recommend you bring a change of clothes or something to cover your car seats for the drive home.
  • The route is not closed to traffic.  All participants must run on the left side of road, against traffic.
  • There are no dogs allowed on the course.
  • Strollers and wagons are permitted on the course, however please keep in mind they may bet sprayed with color.
  • This event will occur rain or shine.

THE COURSE

The course will start and end on the road located between the WP Aquatics Center and the WP High School.

  • left on Bobcat Drive
  • right on Mineral Dr.
  • follow to the roundabout
  • left on Mineral Dr.
  • right on the high school loop drive back to the Aquatic Center parking lot
