36 Years of Mother’s Day Run & Walk. The event connects hundreds of families celebrating moms, daughters, grandmas, sisters, and friends every year. Participating women finish the race with a rose in their hands and joy in their hearts.

100% of Mother’s Day Run & Walk proceeds support PVSS mission: providing families with a path to stable, self-sufficient futures through short- and longer-term housing and supportive services. We have a $70,000 community fundraising goal.

Our strong and diverse community provides the joy and inspiration at our event. We provide the healthy fun. Participants at all levels competitive runners, walkers, joggers, stroller-pushers, children enjoy a 10K Run, 5K Run or Walk, and 1K Kids’ Fun Run around Watsonville’s beautiful wetlands.

“Our mother was the rock of our family. We lost her in December 2016. There are ten of us siblings. I knew that the next Mother’s Day would be a tough one for the family, so I proposed that we honor our mom by participating in the Mother’s Day Run & Walk. Now, there are 13 to 15 family members who participate in the 5K race wearing the same T-shirt in honor of our mom. After the event, we go to the cemetery and then we share a meal with our dad.” – Angeles Nunez, Mother’s Day Runner for 8 Years
