Sea kayak along the rocky Mendocino Coast with Liquid Fusion Kayaking

Liquid Fusion Kayaking’s Sea Kayaking Ocean Rock Gardens Class is an adventuresome 2 day sea kayak class and tour on the Mendocino Coast. This class is designed for individuals who have basic sea kayak skills and want to paddle and play in dynamic water and ocean rock gardens.

Day one is sea kayak skills instruction that includes strokes and skills for paddling among rocks, reading and working with the water, capsize prevention, capsize recovery, and safety and rescue skills. Day two is a journey among the rock gardens and sea caves. During this journey, we will be applying and refining skills from day one and working on water reading and team paddling skills. Over the course of both days, we will be watching wildlife, checking out coastal rock formations, and enjoying the wild beauty of the Mendocino Coast.

This is a great opportunity to kayak on the Mendocino Coast and learn from the sea kayak rock gardening experts of Liquid Fusion Kayaking. Prerequisites include being able to swim 25 yards and previous kayak instruction — LFK’s Sea Kayak 101 or comparable course.

2 day class is $270/person using your own equipment. Equipment rentals are available. Students have the option of using a decked sea kayak or a sit on top touring kayak. Reservations are necessary and can be made online or by calling Liquid Fusion Kayaking (707) 962-1623.
