Fire on the Mountainโ€”Ansel Adams and Edward Weston in Yosemite in the late 1930s

In the summer of 1937, Ansel Adamโ€™s Yosemite Valley darkroom caught fire. Hundreds of his negatives burned without ever having been printed. Adams put out the fire with the help of fellow photo luminary Edward Weston and Westonโ€™s future wife, writer Charis Wilson.
