In the blush of first light, on the island of Molokaโ€™i, a conch shell bellows from the shores of Kaluakoโ€™i Beach. The kahuna has blessed the gathering of paddleboarders and their crews, bidding them good luck and a safe passage. The sound of his shell horn breathes life into the still morning.
