Registration opens September 1 for additional BSIM weekend races

Big Sur International Marathon (BSIM) weekend (April 28-29, 2018) offers much more than its extremely popular – and already sold-out – 26-2-mile marathon. Registration for its other events 21-Miler, 11-Miler (former 10.6-Miler), 12K, Relay, 5K and By-the-Bay 3K opens on Friday, September 1 at 9am Pacific Daylight Time on a first-come, first-served basis. BSIM anticipates a strong demand and some races will sell out quickly. All events but the 3K are on Sunday, April 29, 2018. The 3K is Saturday, April 28.

All races feature beautiful courses and the first-class organization that has made our marathon a favorite of runners around the world. You can find out all details about each race here.

April events of 12K or longer also kick off the 2018 Waves to Wine Challenge. From crashing waves to verdant vineyards, Waves to Wine is a three-race challenge from the Big Sur Marathon’s family of events. To learn more about joining the Challenge, click here.

If you’re still interested in running the full Marathon (26.2 miles) you can enter by fund-raising for one of BSIM’s charity partners or by purchasing a travel package that includes a marathon entry from Marathon Tours.

Also, the organization’s November 12 Monterey Bay Half Marathon is still open for registration.
