Family-friendly event presented by Ride Concepts benefits Truckee Bike Park

Little Big

The Little Big: Little people, big people. Little jumps, big jumps. Little progressions, big progressions. The Truckee Bike Park hosts a cycling filled day focused on fun, learning and progression this Memorial Day weekend. The park is closed to the public in the morning as we host a ladies specific clinic as well as a newly added โ€˜openโ€™ clinic both aimed at riders ages 11 and up. The afternoon will feature a series of ride-style contests where participants can ride any line, by yourself or in a train being judged on amplitude, fluidity, creativity, line choice and tricks. Itโ€™s a positive environment encouraging all skills levels to simply ride and have fun in a closed course setting. Everyone wins. A dual-slalom race will end the day for anyone interested in competing head to head with other riders. Weโ€™ll have music, local food trucks, bike demoโ€™s, exhibitor tents and with all sorts of prizes swag giveaways.

All proceeds go directly to the Truckee Bike Park and its continued growth. The Truckee Bike Park and the Little Big strive to grow the sport of cycling by teaching individuals to be comfortable and confident on their bikes whilst improving core fundamentals to progress any style of riding in a comfortable and safe setting.

Cortney Knudson heads up the 6th womenโ€™s skills clinic which sold out last year with 60 participants. Cort has been the driving force behind this clinic and getting more women on bikes throughout past decade. The best certified coaches come from all over the country representing the forefront of the best female riders and instructors in the industry. The clinic takes riders throughout a closed to the public park so women can get comfortable with the layout and terrain amongst their peers.
