Enjoy a fantastic “Hallowheels” day of activities, entertainment, and a choice of great biking routes to suit any rider, with Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition’s 3rd annual Bike to the Future on Oct 29 in San Jose, CA. The event welcomes people of all ages and interests with four routes of 6, 12, 31 and 51 miles (family-friendly, fun scavenger hunt/mural, and challenging rides). Registration includes a commemorative Bike to the Future neck gaiter, food, attend a mini bike festival, and more. For more info, go to biketothefuture.funraise.org

Gear up for an epic adventure through the stunning Sierra Nevada. Don’t miss out on this legendary event! Nearly 90% of the 103-mile course is closed to vehicles, and the ride is fully supported with aid stations, a lunch stop, SAG vehicles, and medical support. 🥪 ⛰️

Cyclists have from sunrise to sunset to complete the entire course, and Class 1 and Class 3 pedal assist E-bikes are allowed. 🚴🏾‍♀️ 💪🏽

All State Parks in Big Sur Area Closed Due to Highway 1 Road Slip Out 🛑⁠

Due to the road slip out on Highway 1 at Rocky Creek in Monterey County, all State Parks in the Big Sur Area are now closed to day use and camping. ⛺️ That includes Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Andrew Molera State Park, Limekiln State Park, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park and Point Sur State Historic Park. ⁠
⁠
State Parks will continue to work closely with Caltrans and CHP to assess impacts to the highway and will update closures as road conditions allow. 🚧All camping reservations will be cancelled, and refunds will be processed. ⁠

An exact timeline on when these parks will reopen depends on road repairs. For more on those repairs, please contact Caltrans. 🚥⁠
