The San Francisco Half Marathon®, 10K & 5K returns on February 2, 2025.  A fixture on the Bay Area racing calendar, participants are treated to scenic course routes in Golden Gate Park and along the Pacific Ocean, with race proceeds supporting local charities in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Race amenities include long sleeve T-shirts, custom finisher’s medallions, and a variety of food and beverage offerings in our Post-Race Festival.

BIB PICK UP

If you’re picking up a bib for a friend, please bring this form signed.  Please click HERE for a How to Guide for uploading your authorization form to your haku account.

You may purchase bib mailing for $15, deadline to purchase bib mailing is January 5, 2025.  Free bib pickup is available Thursday, Friday, or Saturday at Sports Basement.

Please note that all participant shirts will be picked up after the race in the post-race festival area, regardless of how you choose to receive your bib.

POST-RACE FESTIVAL

After the race, stick around for our post-race festival featuring vendor and sponsor activations. Once you cross the finish line, pick up your medal, water, and snacks. You’ll also pick up your finisher shirt (and gear bag if you checked one!) in the post-race festival area.

COURSE INFORMATION

The 5K, 10K & San Francisco Half Marathon® are point to point with a net loss in altitude from the east end of Golden Gate Park to the far west end.

The 5K is a fast, net downhill 3.1 mile course certified by USA Track & Field (certification number CA15002TK). View 5K course map.

The Half Marathon course will take runners around the Panhandle, back through Golden Gate Park, and out and back on the Great Highway, finishing at the entrance to the Post-Race Festival. The half marathon course is also USA Track & Field certified (certification number: CA11006TK). View half marathon course map.

All 10K and Half Marathon participants must reach the Blue Heron Lake Drive Water Station (HM mile 5.5) by 9:35 a.m.  (16:22 pace).  After 11 a.m., Half Marathon participants still on the course will be moved to the pedestrian pathway to finish the course (the finish line is open until noon).

COURSE SUPPORT

All stops will now have water and Nuun.

Half Marathon: Water and Nuun will be served at the start, at miles 1.8, 3.4, 5.6, 7, 8.6, 10.3, and 12.0.

10K: Water and Nuun will be served at miles 2.6, 4.1, and 5.5.

5K: Water and Nuun will be served at mile 1.4.

Course monitors will be located on the routes.

Pacers will be also be available on course during the race, courtesy of Run Club SF, for the following time goals:

1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00

TRAINING

During registration for your event you will have the opportunity to include an adaptive training program based on your fitness and the time you have to prepare for the distance you’ve chosen. Both complimentary and premium (your cost) coaching options will be available to you through our partners at Runcoach. Our goal is to provide you with a host of training options to meet you where you are in your running journey.
