Important #repost from @mtshastaskipark // *IMPORTANT INFORMATION*

Mount Shasta Bike Park is closed effective immediately.

With the safety of our guests, employees and neighbors in mind we are closing the park for the summer. Due to extremly high fire danger and local fire crews being spread thin we have been encouraged to close along side of the National Forest Lands.

Mount Shasta Bike Park and the surrounding National Forest Lands are extremely vulnerable to fire so we want to do our part in helping to minimize this threat.

See all your smiling faces this coming winter 🤙

For information on National Forest closures please visit the link in our bio.

UPDATED ITINERARY: We will be meeting at 7am Saturday morning in South Lake Tahoe. We will head out for a 4-6 hour ride ending with a peaceful protest starting around 2pm in SLT. This will be a challenging loop ride that starts and finishes in SLT. Bring snacks and water accordingly. We ride to support the Washoe in their quest to #stopthesiren and because #blacklivesmatter. Send me a DM for more exact details if interested in participating.

“We ride to recognize and eliminate the oppression, poverty and shame faced by BIPOC, LGTBQ, and poor White communities. We believe that social injustice and climate disruption are two symptoms of the same disease. We also believe that mountain biking, snowboarding, climbing, and surfing are part of the cure.” —RAR #ridersagainstracism #earnyourbeer
