Getty Fire Forces Closures of Will Rogers State Historic Park and Topanga State Park

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — California State Parks has closed Will Rogers State Historic Park and Topanga State Park due to the Getty Fire burning in Los Angeles County. The public is advised to avoid these parks and any other areas that are closed during this time.

Due to the active nature of the wildfire, the public is advised to always check ahead, as conditions may evolve rapidly. State Park Peace Officers are patrolling the evacuated parks and assisting in mutual aid. California State Parks is honored to help support the communities impacted by the wildfires and assist CAL FIRE and local fire and law enforcement agencies. For the latest information on state park units affected, please visit www.parks.ca.gov/Incidents.

Governor Newsom has launched a new state website with tools and resources for Californians who have been impacted by wildfires and utility-directed power shutoffs. The website www.response.ca.gov is a one-stop portal that includes local and state resources, health services, shelters and housing, preparedness information and more.
