Mountain Biking Big Bear Mountain Resort

The park also has a full range of on-site amenities and services, including bike rentals and repairs, group and private lessons, sports shop, multiple dining venues and plenty of activities for non-bikers, like a 30-foot climbing wall, zip line, tubing lanes, and hiking trails.

Just down the road – about 13 miles west as the crow flies, just above the town of Running Springs – Snow Valley Bike Park has long been considered the best kept secret in Southern California, thanks to the park’s accessible location, some sneaky good intermediate and advanced terrain, and Friday twilight sessions that give riders chance to get some warm-up laps in before the weekend begins.

Snow Valley joined Big Bear Mountain Resort, which also oversees operations at Snow Summit, Summit Bike Park, Bear Mountain, and Bear Mountain Golf Course – last winter when it was acquired by BBMR’s parent company, Alterra Mountain Company. Under terms of the agreement, Snow Valley is scheduled to see significant investments in the years to come, so get your laps before the secret gets out.
