Come for the run … stay and play by the Bay
The Monterey Bay Half Marathon is an out-and-back course beginning in historic downtown Monterey, running along Steinbeck’s Cannery Row, and next to the beautiful Pacific Grove shoreline. Along the course participants will take in scenic views of waves crashing on rocky beaches and beautiful Victorian-era homes. There are often frequent sightings of aquatic life (whales, dolphins, sea otters, pelicans and more).
Celebrate your finish with family and friends at the downtown Custom House Plaza-Monterey State Historical Park at our post-race Finish Village, where you can visit the Treadmill Recovery Center, enjoy a free beer at the Lagunitas Brewing tent and watch the Awards Ceremony.
Monterey Bay Half Marathon is USATF certified. There is a 3 ½ hour time limit, an approximate 16 minute-per-mile pace.
