California Enduro Series is excited to announce the 2021 race schedule, presented by Specialized, with three popular events currently lined up.

The China Peak Enduro, presented by China Peak Mountain Resort — which has been on the CES calendar since the debut of the series — will take place Saturday June 26 in Lakeshore.

The Mt. Shasta Enduro, presented by Mt. Shasta Ski Park in McCloud, will then bring racers to the south slope of NorCal’s iconic Mt. Shasta Saturday/Sunday July 10-11 for a third year on the CES schedule.

The 2021 season is scheduled to conclude as usual with the Ashland Mountain Challenge, presented by Ashland Mountain Adventures, just over the California/Oregon border in Ashland. The date is yet to be determined for this event.

All three of these upcoming races went off without a hitch last season, showing 2020 that it couldn’t keep Enduro down. Naturally, CES and race organizers anticipate adhering to special COVID-19 protocol again this season to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Additional events are not out of the question; this of course depends on how things unfold over the coming weeks and months.

CES Director Steve Gemelos explains, “Event permits are understandably difficult for organizers to obtain due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re hopeful that, as the situation improves, we’ll be able to add more races to the schedule.”

He adds, “That said, we sure look forward to seeing our CES race family out there at some of our favorite venues this season!”
