Butte Strong Bicycle Aid helps riders affected by November’s devastating fire get back out riding

Chico-area cycling group Chico Velo, in partnership with local bike shops, has established a fundraiser for cyclists affected by this past November’s devastating Camp Fire in Butte County, to help them get back out riding.

Funds are distributed on a first come/first serve basis, with special consideration being given to those without insurance. Aid recipients receive a gift card to the local bike shop of their choosing. Funds are being redistributed in the form of gift cards to local bicycle shops to keep the funds supporting local businesses.

Chico Velo Cycling Club is a 501.c.3 non-Profit organization. Tax deductions are available for those wishing to make a donation, and there is no additional cost for Chico Velo to take in the funds for the Aid. Therefore, the organization is able to give 100% of the money donated back to those in need.
