Popular MTB race series celebratesĀ another successful year of camaraderie andĀ challenge

In just its third season, the California Enduro Series (CES) really hit its stride this year, offering up six total races and over 160 cumulative miles for riders of all ages and abilities. FromĀ beginner to pro, Enduro enthusiasts pushed their limits on challenging courses throughout California, andĀ just over the Nevada and Oregon borders.

2015 Pro Men champion Marco Osborne reports, ā€œIt was an amazing year, full of great memories on and off the bike. Just being able to go camping and hang out with all your friends is the best part. Iā€™m definitely looking forward to next year.ā€

Joining OsborneĀ in the top five areĀ Evan Geankoplis in 2nd place, Ryan Gardner in 3rd, Cory Sullivan in 4th, and Doug Thayer in 5th.

This year’sĀ Pro Women champion Amy Morrison notes, ā€œThis year it was definitely a goal to win the series. I broke my wrist coming into the season, so I had a little bit of a slow start, but I started to pick it up around Ashland and tried to stay strong.ā€

Following MorrisonĀ in the season overalls isĀ Lauren Gregg in 2nd, Brianne Spiersch in 3rd, Jackie Swider in 4th, and Nina Porcelli Fenn in 5th.Ā ASJ contributing writer Gregg ā€“ 2014 Pro Women champ ā€“ says, ā€œThis is such a fun series; the group of racers out here is really supportive. It is super cooperative and just a lot of fun.ā€Ā She adds,Ā ā€œI think theyā€™ve really created a nice environment for both female racers and everyone out here.ā€

CESĀ is a for-riders, by-riders organization and strives to create and support world-class Enduro events that everyone from amateurs to pros can enjoy. Series organizer Megan Gemelos says,Ā ā€œWe really want people to engage with each other and the local community.Ā Itā€™s really great to see how tight knit everyone is. They are out there to support each other and cheer their friends on. Itā€™s just such a great experience to be part of.ā€

Overall individual and team standings for the 2015 season can be found here. Organizers are already preparing for an even bigger and better 2016 season, looking forward toĀ welcoming even more riders across all categories.
