Be a part of history! On Sunday, March 6, 2011 cross-country ski racers will gather toย embark on the 35th annual Great Ski Race. The Great Ski Race covers 30 km beginning at theย Tahoe Cross Country Center in Tahoe City and finishing at the Cottonwood Restaurant in Truckee. The event is the main fundraising event for the Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue Team, a non-profit all-volunteer organization. Race registration before February 15th is $55 and $25 for juniors 18 and under. Registration will be $65 between February 16th and March 5th and $75 on race day. Entry fee includes a pre-race package, a 5-color T-shirt, refreshments and a hot lunch, a chance to win one of numerous prizes – plus live music by Downbeat at the finish!
