The Great Ski Race, the primary fundraiser for the nonprofit Tahoe Nordic Search & Rescue, will take place Sunday, March 6. With a new 26km course route that ends where it begins (Tahoe XC), proceeds will benefit TNSR, a group of over 100 volunteers who search for lost skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers, and others lost in the backcountry around North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

In addition to its unique location, China Peak remains one of the two remaining privately owned ski resorts in California, which is impressive considering there are 26 ski resorts in the state, total. This resort may be relatively small in size but just made a significant impact in the industry.
