MTB Kickstart is the opening race of the Spring MTB Series hosted by Total Body Fitness, offering a fun and competitive cross-country mountain bike experience for riders of all levels. The race features a variety of lap distances—from a 6-mile junior/novice course to an 18-mile expert loop—on well-marked trails at scenic Granite Beach in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. All entrants earn a custom TBF beanie and enjoy hot post-race food, with opportunities to score series points toward overall awards if they compete in five of six events. It’s a great kickoff to the season for mountain bikers seeking structured competition, community support, and varied terrain.
