Central Sierra Resort enters winter with free skiing for fifth graders
Bear Valley, Calif., (October 24, 2013) – This season at Bear Valley Resorts fifth graders ski free every weekend compliments of a weekend season ski pass valued at $199. The promotion leads a fun-filled winter focused on teaching the next generation of skiers and snowboarders at the Central Sierra resort including an expanded ski and snowboard school and new learning center, additional categories for ski and snowboard teams, and a growing list of events for families of all ages to enjoy.

For that reason, we place a very high premium on ensuring our guests have the ultimate mountain experience when they hit the slopes of Bear Valley.”
Fifth graders ski free every weekend beginning January 4, 2014, offering 28 days of pure mountain fun. This pass gives access to all lifts every weekend for skiing and snowboarding. All 5th grade students maintaining a “C” average or better are eligible to apply, with documentation required and some restrictions

5th Grade Season Pass Rules
The 2014 BearValleyMountain 5th GradeSeasonPass entitles the pass holder to complimentary lift access at BearValleyMountain during the 2013/14 season. These passes are subject to the terms and conditions as set forth below.
The pass is valid for lift access at BearValleyMountain only. Pass is valid on Saturday’s and Sunday’s only beginning Jan 4, 2014 and ending April 13, 2014 or when the ski area closes for the season, whichever occurs first. Pass is not valid on any weekday (Monday-Friday).
All 5th grade students maintaining a “C” average or better are eligible to apply. Proper documentation required, including a copy of current first term report card and proof of age (passport or birth certificate).
The Pass or use of the Pass may not be transferred or re-sold to any other person, including family members or relatives.
Pass MUST BE presented to gain lift access. Replacement tickets WILL NOT BE ISSUED for forgotten pass.
It is a violation of California law to resell lift passes. BearValleyMountain will immediately revoke a Pass if the holder transfers use of the Pass to another person, for any reason.
BearValleyMountain will revoke and cancel a Pass without notice for any misuse or not following BearValley’s “Responsibility Code”, “Terrain Feature Warnings” and “Ski Area Boundary” information as provided on trail map and at www.bearvalley.com. Pass holders and their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) are responsible for proper use of the pass at all times.
In the event of pass misuse and cancellation, BearValleyMountain may recover damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees. BearValleyMountain reserves the right to modify or cancel the 5th Grade pass program at any time and to modify or cancel all valid passes at any time with or without notice.
BearValleyMountain is not responsible for expenses incurred or opportunities foregone by Pass holders if BearValleyMountain modifies or cancels the 5th Grade pass program.
If a Pass is lost or stolen, notify BearValley immediately. BearValley reserves the right to make case by case determinations concerning replacement of lost or stolen Passes, but in no event will a lost or stolen Pass be replaced without collecting a $50 processing fee.
All Pass holders agree to comply with all rules and regulations of BearValleyMountains’ Skier Safety Code. An individual is eligible for the Pass only once. Individuals repeating all or a portion of the 5th grade do not qualify for a repeat Pass. If an applicant provides any false or inaccurate information in his or her application, a Pass will not be issued and if a Pass is issued it will be revoked if false or inaccurate information has been provided. All information provided in the application is subject to verification by BearValleyMountain.
All information provided in the application becomes the property of BearValleyMountain. Information provided by applicants may be used by BearValleyMountain for verification, marketing and research purposes.
Lessons & Equipment TOO
Through the 5th Grade Pass program, we are offering one complimentary full-day beginner; group lesson and rental package to any 5th grader who has never experienced neither skiing nor snowboarding. • One beginner lesson and rental will be provided as a part of “Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month.” One Lesson and One day of Rental equipment package (skis, board, boots, helmet) are available any Sunday in January as a part of the “Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month”. • The free rental and beginner lesson must be redeemed at the same time and are only valid for a one time use. • Free first-timer lessons and rentals are not available on Saturday’s. Groups of 10 or more are required to provide 2 weeks advanced notice to ski school offices.
