The Luggi Foeger Uphill / Downhill Festival is a Tahoe-area celebration of human-powered mountain sports, featuring a SkiMo race plus “beer league” and family-friendly divisions at Diamond Peak Ski Resort. Participants climb the mountain under their own power (skins, snowshoes, running shoes, and more) and then descend back to the finish—making it equal parts challenge and party. Off the course, the base area typically adds extra energy with demos, music/DJ, and an awards gathering at the Loft Bar, plus a winter-wildlife snowshoe hike on Sunday morning. It’s a great fit for SkiMo racers, uphill enthusiasts, and anyone who loves springtime mountain culture with a community vibe.
