California is a popular destination for guided trips on the water and through the mountains, and outfitters throughout our state take people from all walks of life on adventures that often leave the guides with a tale to tell. We think there are some amazing stories to be shared with our readers!

To that end, ASJ is seeking humorous, outlandish and harrowing stories to be featured in our brand new Guide Stories section of our website. These stories are intended to entertain and inspire outdoor readers, and highlight the know-how and preparedness of outdoor guides all across the state. They’ll offer valuable exposure to the companies who are in the business of taking people outdoors through back links on our site, social media channels and potentially the magazine itself.
