Gift cards are available and make great stocking stuffers for your special adventurous person.
Our cross country skiing guests enjoy an extensive trail system with 70+ kilometers of groomed paths over 3,000 acres. We have 38 carefully groomed trails for track and skate skiing, a trailside Meadow Cafe, and three warming huts throughout the trail system. There are also two kids’ ski trails, and a groomed downhill practice area. The elevation of 7,000 to 7,800 feet guarantees first to open (usually mid-November) and last to close (usually mid-April) among Sierra Nevada cross country centers.
Ski trails are open from 9am to 4:30pm daily and the purchase of a trail pass or season pass is required to access.
Snowshoers enjoy our extensive trail system of over 3,000 acres. We have 38 carefully groomed trails, a trailside Meadow Cafe, three warming huts, and two kids’ trails. The sport of snowshoeing has gained popularity with modern lightweight and user-friendly equipment. Also, the discovery of cross country ski trails for snowshoers has contributed to this fun winter adventure. We carry snowshoes in a variety of sizes, and no special shoes are necessary. Snowshoeing is definitely fun for everyone! Snowshoes are available for sale in our store as well.
Snowshoe trails are open from 9am to 4:30pm daily and the purchase of a trail ore season pass is required to access.
During the winter season, Bear Valley Adventure Company offers both a groomed sledding and a separate groomed tubing area. Both activities have several fun runs, picnic tables, and benches. We recommend these activities for ages 3 and older. Hot food and drinks are available nearby at the Meadow Cafe. These areas are not lift-serviced and required hiking up the hills; we think it’s part of the adventure ;-).
Sledding and Tubing is open from 9am to 4pm daily.
