San Diego-area mountain bike race seriesย kicks off 2017 with expanded summer season; announces Mazda as new title sponsor

The Quick โ€™n Dirty Mountain Bike Racing Series, known for its challenging, family-fun races throughout San Diego County, has raised its profile significantly by adding in Mazda as their title sponsor for the 2017 season. The series will be known as the Mazda Quick โ€™n Dirty Racing Series and will promote ten races this year at various venues in San Diego.

โ€œMazda is well known for their extensive racing heritage and weโ€™re extremely proud and excited that they would lend their credibility and expertise to our grass roots racing series,โ€ says Victor Sheldon, founderย of Quick โ€™n Dirty. โ€œHaving Mazda as our title sponsor will allow us to expand our series and provide our racers with an even better experience.โ€

Along with this announcement is the growth of the Mazda Quick โ€™n Dirty Summer Series to eight races. Taken in two blocks of 4 races each, the Summer Series blankets the months of June (1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd) and August (3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th) and will crown a Grand Champion in each of the racing categories at the end of the summer.

The Mazda Quick โ€™n Dirty Summer Series is held on Thursday nights at the Lake Hodges Boat Ramp, 20175 Lake Dr., Escondido, 92029. Kids racing is at 5:30 and all category racers head out at 6:15 with a varying number of laps depending on the category. A feature of the Mazda Quick โ€™n Dirty Summer Series is the vendor expo featuring the Mazda CX-5 as well as the top brands in the cycling industry.
