Once again Mavericks shows why she is dangerous up close, and not just for surfers. Everyone was rescued thanks to the quick actions of photographers and rescue personnel, but photographer Frank Quirarte sustained damage to his jet ski during the rescue efforts he led. Last we checked the GoFundMe page set up in Frank’s honor had raised over $8500 so hopefully that helps.
