PRESS RELEASE: California Enduro Series presented by Specialized

California Enduro Series – now in its 10th year running! – is thrilled to announce the 2022 race schedule with six exciting events lined up including a brand new venue.

The all-new Georgetown Enduro, presented by MTB Experience and California Expeditions, will kick off the 2022 season on May 21. The Mammoth Bar Enduro, presented by TBF Racing and The Hub Roseville is set to follow just two weeks later on June 4 in Auburn at the Auburn SRA and Mammoth Bar OHV.

The China Peak Enduro, presented by China Peak Mountain Resort, will lead a trifecta of big mountain action into the mix on June 25 in Lakeshore, followed by the Mt Shasta Enduro, presented by Mt Shasta Ski Park July 30-31 in McCloud, and the Northstar Enduro, presented by Northstar California August 20-21 in Truckee.

The 2022 season will wrap up as usual with the Ashland Mountain Challenge, presented by Ashland Mountain Adventures, just over the California/Oregon border in Ashland on October 1.

CES Director Steve Gemelos says, “With the addition of Georgetown to our line up of favorite regular events, 2022 promises to deliver some seriously good times on the bike. Here’s to a safe, fun and challenging upcoming season – we’re looking forward to seeing you out there!”

New Women’s Categories

The CES crew and race organizers are excited to expand on the women’s race categories. Making a debut for the 2022 season are Master Pro Women 35+, Expert Women 35+, and Sport Women 35+.

Queen Stage

The Queen Stage returns for each race for this season. The racer in each category with the fastest time on this particular stage will get bonus points towards their overall ranking.

Stage Wins

Of course, winning a race and winning the overall are the goals, but we all like stage wins as well. For the 2021 season, the series will again be tracking stage wins, offering a bonus prize for the male and female amateur racer with the most stage wins at the end of the season.

eMTB Categories

eMTB categories will be available at the first five of 2022’s six events: Georgetown Enduro, China Peak Enduro, Mt. Shasta Enduro, Mammoth Bar Enduro, and Northstar Enduro. These four categories are: Open eMTB Men, Open eMTB Women, Sport eMTB Men, and Sport eMTB.
