Bike the Andes in Reroutes: In Search of the Qhapaq Ñan

Join Leonardo Brasil and Adam Pawlikiewicz Mesa on their unforgettable bike journey from La Paz, Bolivia, to Cusco, Peru in the new film, Reroutes: In Search of the Qhapaq Ñan. Their adventure follows the ancient Qhapaq Ñan, a UNESCO World Heritage road system spanning over 30,000 km. This incredible network, built by the Incas, connected Andean communities across Colombia to Chile, weaving through snow-capped peaks, coastal deserts, rainforests, and fertile valleys.

Leo and Adam’s expedition highlights both the region’s rich history and vibrant culture, as well as the unexpected obstacles they encountered—food shortages, water scarcity, reroutes, mishaps, alpaca sacrifices, and a visit to the highest mining settlement in the world.
