A glimpse into the world of Enduro premiering December 15
The eagerly anticipated film “The Rise of Enduro” premiers live on Pinkbike.com Monday, December 15, 2014 from 7am to 10pm PST.
Enduro is a relatively new but wildly popular racing format that demands a high level of fitness and stamina to complete long, strenuous climbing sections (transfer stages) within an allotted period of time, as well as excellent handling skills to take on the technically challenging timed descents (special stages). The camaraderie inherent in Enduro invokes that feeling of “big stoke” everyone enjoys after an epic day of riding with friends on stellar trails, instead of the stress and tension typically associated with racing.
Kurt Gensheimer—the renowned The Angry Singlespeeder—agrees, “Enduro is really just another word for mountain biking, because at its core, it’s about getting radical on knobby tires with new friends and world-class trails. It’s the only event where downhillers, XC fitness freaks and weekend warriors can all compete and have a great time.”
