Riding the Wild Sierra // COVID-19 Edition

“A ride for cyclists organized by cyclists.”

Experience the breathtaking scenic beauty of classic Sierra roadways. Ride through wilderness areas with no traffic lights and just a few stop signs. Choose your favorite passes or pick one of six ride options. Those who complete the Alta Alpina 8 Pass Challenge earn the right to wear the exclusive 8 Pass Finisher Jersey. There are also exclusive finisher jerseys for the Classic 5 Pass Challenge and Audry’s 7 Pass Challenge.

The folks at Alta Alpina have been working tirelessly to create a pandemic friendly event. According to the event producers โ€” the size, location, and format of the Alta Alpina Challenge make it uniquely qualified to be adapted to a pandemic friendly event. New protocols and operational plans have been adapted for a COVID-19 Edition.

The route options and cut-off times will remain the same, and all riders and volunteers are required to practice social distancing and mask protocols.

One of the best things about this event is that each riderย is challenged to set a personal goal based on his or her own individual abilities.
