Join us Saturday, December 20 at Soquel Demonstration State Forest for a fun day of trail work and camaraderie

Adventure Sports Journal is proud to sponsor the next Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC) Volunteer Trail Work Day on their flow trail project at Soquel Demonstration State Forest (SDSF).
Volunteer involvement is crucial to completing this vast project, and all are welcome at work days (think: epic family experience)—no trail work experience required. We’ll take good care of you with a delicious lunch and throw in raffle items to boot (including our brand new Earn Your Beer trucker hats). We encourage mountain biking and trail building enthusiasts from near and far to join us. Registration for trail work event is REQUIRED. Sign up HERE.
A partnership between MBoSC and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), this innovative project’s objectives are to promote mountain biking by creating a progressive trail that can be enjoyed by riders of all ages and ability level, and to increase the diversity of riding opportunities, demonstrate innovative and sustainable trail building design and techniques, and provide a model for other land managers for similar types of projects.
Check out our cover story in our April/May 2014 issue, which was all about this project: Digging the Flow, by Matt De Young with photography by Bogdan Marian. Additionally, learn more about flow trails, and details about the SDSF flow trail and its unique locale, at mbosc.org.
