The Bear Valley Adventure Company is excited to host the 47th Bjornloppet Ski Races
[dropcap size=big]T[/dropcap]his event is the longest-running cross country ski race on the west coast and is a special opportunity to visit Bear Valley and test your skills on some of the most scenic groomed trails in California.The race kick-off is at 10:30am, on Saturday, February 8th. In addition to the iconic 10K and 20K, a new 5K course is included this year to entice those new to the sport of wishing for a less demanding option. All races on Saturday are Open Division Freestyle which allows both skating and striding equipment and techniques. Lunch and awards will commence once all the racers have completed their course.
Sunday is all about classic striding and offers both a 5K and 10K course starting at 10am. Regardless of which race, or course you choose, all participants can expect great grooming, course markings, and an encouraging venue to slide around the scenic cross country trails of Bear Valley. All ages and abilities welcome.
Costs (all race fees include lunch and event t-shirt)
Saturday – $50 Adult 20 & 10 km, $35 Junior 10 km
Sunday – $35 Classic 10 km, $35 Junior 5 km
